 reports, 1d 13h agoDaily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.  reports, 1d 23h agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. These are dogs that have bad reputations... Doberman, German Shepherd, Pit Bull (I think?), and Rottie... A lot of people don't like these dogs because of their reputations for being violent in some way or another. GERMAN SHEPHERDS ARE LITTLE DARLINGS, THOUGH. -has one living next door and loves him to death-
So is the symbolism that not all dogs are evil and mean and will try to bite any kid they see?
-shrug- I dunno. That's kind of what I got out of it.
Love the painting, though. I like the Dobie in the background the best.

That fantastic icon there? Ohyes. Made by the fantabulous ~MoonBalloon. I love her so.
I really like this painting, especially since you included the symbolism of the peace dove mingling with the dogs. And the fact that the pitbull is crying adds an emotional touch. It's very well done, bravo.

you are so good with paint, is this watercolor or oil? OR EVEN ACRYILIC? No matter what, it is absolutely amazing, especially with the symbolism of the 'bad dogs'. Lovelovelove.
And obviously, mr. rottie is my faaaave :3
